This course is now fully online. All training times listed are EST.

Research in neuroscience can explain how and why Yoga works for healing the body, mind, and emotions. Dr. Mala will share with you some powerful techniques and strategies for increasing healing, happiness, and peace; and conversely, you will learn how to reduce anxiety, depression and other mood states. Yoga is a powerful healing option and can easily be explained through an understanding of neuroscience and our neurobiology. Continuing education credits through IAYT. Note: for APD credit students must also complete the online component of the training. Approved course through IAYT – APD.

Yoga and mindfulness practices can have a positive impact on our neurobiology and our neural pathways. This retreat will focus on strategies for healing the body and mind through Yoga and mindfulness techniques. Dr. Mala will introduce you to powerful concepts and practices that she uses with her clients in her private practice.

Neuroscience shows that you can actually change your brain patterns—and therefore change your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors—which can promote healing in your system.

Researchers are now able to understand how Yoga and mindfulness practices can help us to heal, restore vibrancy, and increase resiliency.  Over the last twenty years, research has proven that Yoga and mindfulness techniques can increase empathy, compassion, and optimism, and can significantly reduce negative emotions such as chronic stress, anxiety, and depression.
